MICHELLE GRAY,
Pharmacist and Owner of Gray's Compounding Pharmacy
Michelle Gray is a dedicated pharmacist and the proud owner of Gray’s Compounding Pharmacy in Kimberley, British Columbia. Growing up across various communities in B.C.’s interior, including Revelstoke, Lumby, Cranbrook, Prince George, and Creston, Michelle developed a deep appreciation for the diversity and vibrancy of rural life.
Michelle Gray’s journey into pharmacy was not just a career choice but a calling to build meaningful relationships with her patients and provide personalized, patient-focused care. Her career began in Cranbrook, where she embraced the opportunities and challenges of rural pharmacy. Michelle’s decision to work outside the big city was driven by her desire to spend more time with patients, foster strong community connections, and provide the best care possible.
2013 Michelle and her husband Andy opened Gray’s Compounding Pharmacy in Kimberley. The rural setting has allowed Michelle to fully utilize her clinical skills, create a collaborative work environment, and become vital to her community’s health and wellness. From consultations on hormone balance and pain management to first aid for local athletes, Michelle seamlessly combines her roles as a healthcare provider, teacher, and mentor.
Michelle is not just a dedicated pharmacist, but also a vibrant individual who embraces the adventurous spirit of life outside of work in Kimberley, recently named CBC’s “Best Small Town in BC.” Whether skiing, hiking, kayaking, or participating in the vibrant arts community, she cherishes the exceptional work-life balance that rural living offers. Michelle and her family thrive in a community where neighbours are friends, commutes are nonexistent, and every day brings new opportunities for connection and exploration. Michelle’s philosophy is simple: a fulfilling career and a vibrant personal life go hand in hand, and community pharmacy is the perfect place to achieve both.
Michelle Gray’s dedication and expertise have not gone unnoticed. She has been recognized by the Professional Compounding Centres of America (PCCA) as their 2022 Canadian Pharmacist of the Year, a testament to her commitment to excellence in rural healthcare.
